DBC Gifts Of Love Hosts 5K Run/Walk-A-Thon Saturday, July 23rd In Chicago's Southland, DBC Gifts Of Love, NFP is a community outreach of DBC Offices and DBC Nation that gives back to those in need. DBC stands for Destiny Business Centre, where Michiel D. Burnett is the president and founder. Michiel D. Burnett, an Olympia Fields resident, studied Nursing at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois. She has a heart for others and wants to improve the quality of life for all.
This year will be the DBC Gifts Of Love 5th Annual Book Bag & School Supply Drive. We are kicking off this year with a 5K Run/Walk A Thon on Saturday, July 23, 2022, beginning at 8 am at the Vollmer Road Grove Forest Preserve in Country Club Hills, Illinois. The event will be held in person and virtually. The proceeds from this event will be used to purchase book bags and school supplies for homeless school-aged children and families in need. This event will give back to community residents while empowering and uplifting them. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available. Product donations of book bags, school supplies, snacks, and beverages are also being accepted.
DBC Gifts of Love, NFP, is a not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 community organization, which helps entrepreneurs and community leaders give back to those in need with love and care. Items collected go directly to organizations or schools. The organization has conducted food drives, winter accessories and toy drives for fire victims, and an annual book bag and school supply drive for homeless school children and other children in need. The organization's offices are located in Richton Park, Illinois.
